Building Blocks for Autism offers behavioral consulting services to individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Building Blocks for Autism utilizes applied behavioral analysis, primarily applied verbal behavior (AVB) techniques to provide behavioral interventions for a variety of behaviors exhibited by children affected by ASD.

BB4autism
offers home based programming including behavioral consultations and tutoring based upon the principles of applied behavior analysis. We will be offering intensive center based programming this summer, 2008.

Center based programming will be offered for full or half days, and will include a social skills group. Programming is individualized per each individual child's needs. We also offer family and educator support and education of behavioral principles. 

Services include:

Summer program 

Half day program

Social skill building opportunities

Play skills

Intensive teaching and programming (by parent choice)

Appropriately matched peers
BB4autism will try to appropriately match students with similar peers so that they will receive social stimulation and interactions from one another.
Availability will depend on interest and space within groups.

Home programming including behavioral consultative services and tutoring, family and educator support and training.
Behavior Management Planning.

Intake Enrollment Process:

Diagnosis of ASD from a doctor.
Conduct an initial family interview (with the child).
Complete an application process

Once a child joins the program a comprehensive assessment will be conducted to assess the child's strengths, weaknesses, and needs using an assessment tool called the ABLLS (Assessment of basic language and learning skills). An individualized program will then be developed based on the ABLLS Assessment, direct observation, interaction, the child's present levels of performance, developmental milestones, and family input. Depending on the location of programming, home or center based, the program will be implemented accordingly.
